The Invisible Work Behind a Calm, Beautiful Wedding Day
Planning A Wedding - Easy as it looks?
The best wedding days are the ones when everything seems to happen at just the right moment. Planning a wedding can look effortless, but we’ll let you in on a little secret… it isn’t.
Behind the scenes, careful wedding planning and well-timed guidance make it feel that way. The questions we ask, the details we gather, and the gentle nudges along the way make sure that when your day arrives, you can 100% enjoy it.
And when everything is taken care of, you’re left with something very special: a wedding day that’s beautifully relaxed and a couple who can be themselves.

The Difference Between Hiring a Venue and Being Properly Looked After
When we tell people we plan and coordinate weddings, they often say how joyful it must be to work with beautiful flowers and dresses in a stunning Lake District setting. It absolutely is. We feel incredibly fortunate to call Cote How both our home and our ‘office’.
(Someone once asked if we wore headsets whilst directing everyone with a clipboard, and seemed disappointed when we said no!)
The reality is a less theatrical and far more meaningful. Our role is to make your wedding day unfold effortlessly and seamlessly. Think of us as the swans of the wedding world. We appear calm and unhurried, with a lot happening beneath the surface to keep everything running smoothly!
Weddings don’t simply fall into place. Planning a wedding can be super busy and, at times, overwhelming. When your day arrives, you deserve to feel completely taken care of. We handle the details so you can enjoy every moment.

Why a Well-Planned Wedding Feels So Effortless
Over the years, we’ve learned what makes a wedding feel effortless. It often comes down to things you don’t notice.
We know life is busy. Your wedding planning details can get overlooked amid work and family demands. That’s why we’re here. Our preparation isn’t meant to overwhelm, but to guide you so nothing vital gets missed.
A well-planned wedding day flows. Every moment unfolds naturally, without rushing or long pauses. It’s our job to make it look easy.
So when we ask questions (and we do ask quite a few!), it’s with one purpose: to help you relax on the day, knowing everything has been considered.

Thank you so much for helping the day flow so smoothly and stress-free, and for giving us so many precious and magical memories!

The Details You Don’t See (But Would Notice If They Were Missing)
Often, the smallest touches shape how a wedding day feels.
From giving guests a cosy blanket on a breezy day to having walking boots ready for a lakeshore photoshoot, these details come from experience, not a checklist.
We don’t believe in overcomplicating your day, but we do believe in being prepared! Anticipating what you might need is how we make sure everyone feels happy and at home on the day.

The Calm Behind the Curtain: How Your Day Flows Seamlessly

We sometimes describe what we do as a little bit of behind-the-scenes magic.
Flowers from your ceremony reappear on your table. Spaces transform from an outdoor aisle to a relaxed garden party. Cards and gifts are ready when the bus arrives at home time. No one notices when we do it, but they’d notice if we didn’t.
Personal touches appear exactly where they’re needed. Being on hand to pass you an umbrella, a tissue, or a slice of cake is all part of a full wedding planning service.
What’s Happening Behind the Scenes on Your Wedding Day

On the day itself, we connect everyone involved in bringing your wedding together.
We coordinate with florists, photographers, and caterers, so you don’t have to worry about timings or logistics. You don’t need to watch the clock or wonder what happens next.
If it’s time for confetti, we’ll gather everyone together. When it’s time to cut the cake or for your first dance, we’ll hand you the knife or play your music. If you lose a button or forget your wellie socks, we’ll find a replacement.
Think of us as your calm, reassuring presence, handling everything in the background so you can focus on the joy of your wedding day.

As soon we got out of the car every thought of stress or worry left and we instantly felt calm and able to be present together whilst at Cote How.

Why Experience Matters More Than You Might Think When Planning a Wedding
If I were to add a tiny personal note (you know I can’t resist), it’s this: couples often don’t realise how valuable the role of wedding planner and co-ordinator is. It’s hard to explain how much easier it can make everything.
The highest compliment we receive is when couples say they didn’t believe a truly stress-free wedding day was actually possible until they experienced it.
For us, planning a relaxed, memorable wedding day for all the right reasons is not just our job. It’s a privilege, and why we love what we do.
