Our Micro Weddings are a great choice and perfect if you prefer a small, intimate ceremony in a special place amid stunning scenery and wish to celebrate with your loved ones. You can choose the duration of your wedding to allow for post-ceremony celebrations from a post-ceremony toast, a wedding cake or a full grazing table. Choose between 3, 4 or 5 hours.

Our Micro Weddings offer you your dream wedding in a stunning location, on a smaller and more affordable scale. Begin by sipping arrival drinks in our beautiful Woodrow reception room, or on the outdoor terrace, with breathtaking views of Rydal Valley. Choose a ceremony indoors or outdoors in our licensed spaces. A post-ceremony drinks reception is included, giving you and your closest family and friends a chance to toast your celebrations. Relax and enjoy the beautiful grounds or wander to the surrounding beauty spots, such as Rydal water, woods, and caves. It’s the perfect place for capturing those all-important Lake District wedding portraits.

Our micro wedding venue offers you a choice of intimate ceremony locations. Our Fairfield room is perfect for an indoor ceremony, filled with candles, green foliage, twinkling fairy lights, and faux flowers. Our outside ceremony space offers the perfect Lake District location in the doorway of our traditional Lakeland barn, overlooking Rydal Valley and the fells beyond.

Afternoon Delight

Micro wedding

The Afternoon Delight package offers a 5-hour wedding, including fresh flowers for the happy couple and six vases of fresh venue flowers to decorate the aisle and ceremony table. You also enjoy an afternoon lunch featuring a beautiful array of continental or Cumbrian-style food, presented as an artistic grazing table in the barn.

The 3 hour classic micro wedding is ideal for those who want to keep their guest list small but include more people than an elopement. Choose from indoor or outdoor ceremony spaces with the entire venue to yourselves in our stunning Lake District venue. Your classic micro includes arrival drinks, an intimate wedding ceremony, and a post-wedding drinks reception on the house terrace.

The Loved Ones

MICRO Wedding

Our extended 3-hour afternoon ‘Loved Ones’ wedding is designed to include those nearest and dearest that you simply cannot marry without.
These are your most precious people, be they parents, siblings, or best friends. This includes eight in total, so two of you, plus an additional six guests.
A perfect choice, when eloping is your preferred wedding style, but you need those special people with you.

'Winter & Festive Weddings

Our 3 and 4-hour micro weddings are available as Festive and Winter Weddings, October – March, for up to 12 guests.
The house is cosy and welcoming with a log fire and candlelight and decorated for the festive season from the 1st of December to the 6th of January. This includes our splendid Christmas tree in the Woodrow reception room, festive garlands, and fairy lights in every room.
Options for drinks also include mulled wine, winter Pimms, and hot chocolate!
