We designed our Lake District Small Weddings for Lakes-loving couples seeking an intimate, luxurious wedding that is relaxed and easy to arrange. By putting ourselves firmly in your shoes, we anticipate your every need, and design perfect weddings that work! Our expert planning service is part of the journey. SMALL DAY weddingS...

This beautiful 6-hour small-day wedding has all the elements of a traditional day wedding, including a delicious wedding breakfast and drinks package.
Begin with pre-ceremony welcome drinks on the house terrace, then your classic ceremony in a choice of locations, followed by a glass of Prosecco and canapes on the terrace. Take a short stroll to the lake while your photographer captures beautiful wedding portraits with just the two of you. It’s a perfect opportunity to enjoy precious moments together in a stunning location.

Then, it’s time to lead your guests to our historic Lakeland barn for the second half of your wedding day. Begin with a warm welcome or speeches. Enjoy a delicious, freshly prepared two-course meal (starter/main course or main course/dessert). Wine is included with dinner, and tea or coffee is optional.

After dinner, relax and enjoy the sunset from the barn gazebo, or dance in the barn to celebrate, before bringing your magical day to an end.

Our Licensed Ceremony Spaces...

Here at our Micro Wedding venue, we have a choice of intimate ceremony locations. Our Fairfield room is perfect for an indoor ceremony, filled with candles, green foliage, twinkling fairy lights, and faux flowers. Our outside ceremony space offers the perfect Lake District location, outside our rustic barn, overlooking Rydal valley and the fells beyond.

The FAIRFIELD: For 9 – 24 people in summer (limited to 12 in winter)

WINTER WEDDINGS
Of course, the majority of weddings take place in the summer months when the barn is available and we can use the outdoor spaces more. But we also offer smaller indoor winter weddings for up to 12 people, for those of you who love that Hygge feeling.

Lauren & Richard’s Luxury Weekend

We had a weekend wedding at Cote How in May, after spotting the venue in full swing back in August at the end of our family walk around Loughrigg Fell. The greenery and flowers, strings of lights, and quiet music all set in the quaint venue grounds deep within the valley, was just the most beautiful sight. We said then when the time came to marry, this would be the perfect place. On contacting and booking our wedding with Caroline, we were filled with excitement and confidence our day would be nothing but perfect. And that it was, Caroline and her team were incredibly attentive, and we couldn’t have asked for a more organised, calm and relaxed weekend wedding. With memories, we will treasure forever, and we will definitely be keeping in touch with Cote How on our annual holidays to the Lakes.
