Wonderful Winter Weddings in the Lake District

Cote How is beautiful at every time of year. But winter holds a special magic for some couples. So why not think about a cosy winter wedding this year?
Spring heralds the onset of new life here, with daffodils, bluebells and lambs in abundance.
Summer at Cote How is splendid, with the well established grounds in bloom and balmy evenings stretching well into the night.
In the autumn, we are treated to a visual display of colour across the surrounding hills and fells, with a burst of orange and russet hues.

And winter is a spectacular time to spend time in the Lake District, with cold frosty days, roaring log fires and warming seasonal comfort food
Cote How is a magical place for a winter wedding. Our historical 16th century venue sets the scene to your perfect day. Guests can gather by candlelight in the sumptuous ‘Fairfield Room’, or assemble beneath the fairy lights of our rustic barn. Whichever you choose, it’s hard to tear yourself away from Cote How!

With spring now giving way to summer, it won’t be long until winter is – once again – upon us. If you fancy having a winter wedding at Cote How, get in touch. We are already getting booked up, so don’t leave it too late to enquire! We still have winter dates available for 2023/2024

Here is a Real Wedding video of highlights from a beautiful intimate winter wedding here at Cote How, by Simon Hughes
It was December 14th and fairly mild weather so Simon managed to get lots of wonderful photographs of the whole wedding party down by the lake edge of Rydal Water just in our flower meadow 200m from our door! Wonderful winter weddings… Perfect
