Small Relaxed Family-Style Wedding

A Small Famly Wedding

It might have been a wintry November day but there was plenty of family love at Cote How to keep everyone warm, as Charlotte and Jimi celebrated tieing the knot with their parents and little boy.

A Romantic First Look

Charlotte and Jimi had a romantic ‘first look’ out on the terrace – a magical and emotional moment for everyone.

Relaxed, family moments

The ceremony was held in our elegant Wordsworth Room with its beautiful chandelier and picture window overlooking the frosted garden. It’s the perfect size for small wedding parties.
Charlotte was escorted down the aisle by her Dad, as her Mum and Jimi’s parents looked on proudly.
Jimi looked fabulous in his tweed suit as he waited patiently. Charlotte was stunning in a delicately embroidered crepe dress with button-back detail. She looked radiant!

The wonderful thing about small family ceremonies is that everyone feels involved. Charlotte and Jimi’s little boy did a wonderful job of handing the rings to Daddy when the time was right. The Registrars are wonderful at welcoming children and including them in the service.

Stunning Location Photography

Once the family group photos were taken, it was time for a stroll to the lake edge of Rydal Water for portraits featuring just the happy couple and their special paige boy. Cote How is set among some of the country’s most stunning and romantic landscapes. Such fabulous scenery is a wonderful backdrop for cherished family moments, caught on camera by Jenna.

precious shared moments

On their return from Rydal Water, Jimi and Charlotte enjoyed a romantic photoshoot on the terrace, much to the delight of a little onlooker who sneaked a peek through the window!

Taking it all in

Our happy couple stole away for a little while to savour the moment. Taking time to reflect and let it all sink in is so important, as time goes so fast on your wedding day.

A small family wedding doesn’t mean losing any of those important details. Charlotte chose a beautiful colour theme for her bouquet of classic whites with a hint of blue. She was the epitome of style in her gorgeous faux fur cape – even in her wellies! It was the most magical afternoon and a wonderful start to their next chapter as a family.
