Real Weddings at Cote How

Nothing  gives a better idea of a venue than the real life weddings that take place there. We have worked with a large range of great and professional photographers who have kindly shared some of there images with us. Please take a look at these photographs which link back to the photographer that took them. You can assess their style and make enquiries with them directly if you would like to use their services for your wedding.

Alison and Lee Lake

Jo Bradbury Photography: Alison and Lee's Mumford and Son Style Wedding

” So love the one you hold, And I will be your goal, To have and to hold, A lover of the light”
The band played Mumford and Son’s, in fact the whole wedding had a very Mumford vibe to it, just so relaxed and joyous, a really happy celebration with all their family…and lots of dancing! And in one of my most favourite places @cotehowweddingslakedistrict - Thanks Jo x

Matt and Jill Lake District Wedding

Kerry Woods Wedding Photographer: Jill and Matt's Rustic Barn Wedding... With Owl!

It was beautiful August day and the sun shone for us all. Guests arrived as did the Owl.... Ring delivery practise ahead of the lovely barn ceremony. An intimate barn wedding followed by a drinks reception on the terrace. Kerry was silently drifting and worked almost invisibly... Never missing a trick!
The couple made their way down to the lake - Being congratulated along the way. Stunning photographs in a very artistic style... take a peek

Rachel Joyce Wedding Photographer: Victoria and David's Lake District Barn Wedding

I love Cote How – it’s one of my favourite Lake District wedding venues. Super relaxed and informal and surrounded by the most amazing scenery. Which made it absolutely perfect for Victoria and David who are very outdoorsy and definitely did not want a formal and traditional wedding day.

Bike Jenna Carpenter Photography: Laura and Pete's Outdoor Weddings

Where do I start with Laura & Peter’s Wedding? Beautiful setting, amazing views, lovely people and not forgetting their dog Meg!
This was my first wedding at Cote How in Rydal and I hope to be back again in the future. The rustic barn and Lakeland house were the perfect setting for Laura & Peter’s relaxed and informal celebrations.
I joined Laura and her bridesmaids as they were getting ready in the afternoon. There are no cars allowed into the venue for the wedding so I enjoyed a little walk by the river to get to the secluded venue.

I was a little sad to leave Laura & Peter’s Wedding – the whole day was so relaxed and personal. It was a pleasure to capture and share.
Thank you again to Cote How for your help on the day and providing such an amazing venue.
Also to Laura & Peter for allowing me to share and capture their day.

Graham and LynneSimon Hughes Photography: Lynne and Graham's July Wedding - Small and Intimate Wedding

A perfect Summer's day set the scene for an idyllic and relaxed small family wedding. Lynne and Graham first came to Cote How earlier in the Spring knowing exactly what they wanted for their wedding. As both had been married before and had been together some 14 years, they wanted a small and intimate celebration with just close family and friends. Something relaxed and friendly featuring great food and time to unwind and enjoy some background music and a little dance. They enjoyed an intimate ceremony in the Fairfield chandelier room, followed by drinks and canapes on the terrace. Lakeside photographs then followed and a cheeky dipping of toes in the water to cool off, before returning to the barn for a delicious 2 course meal with plenty of time afterwards to relax and chat, or dance to your playlists, before departing mid evening.

This wedding is based on our 6 hour all inclusive intimate wedding for 24

Fairfield Wedding Ceremony

Derwent Phoography: Angela and John's Wedding - Unique Lake District Barn Wedding

This was a new venue for me and I was blown away by both the beauty of the location and how well the team there catered for the wedding party. Owner Caroline used to be a wedding dress designer and had her own boutique in Nottingham, so she has a great deal of experience in the wedding trade.

Congratulations to Angela and John for creating a fantastic wedding, full of everlasting memories for themselves and their guests… It was a wonderful day!

Derwent Photography

Derwent Phoography: Harriet and Tom's September Barn Wedding

Harriet and Tom were married on a beautiful day in early September at Cote How, Rydal.
They decided to have an outdoor ceremony and the bride looked fantastic, with her make up from MAC, her hair by Katie Swainson and her dress from Chilham Bridal Boutique. Flowers by Brackens of Bowness really added to the rustic, vintage feel to the day.

Following the ceremony the newlyweds and their guests enjoyed drinks and amazing nibbles catered for by Greens Grasmere whilst everyone gave their congratulations. They even had Christopher a caricaturist doing pictures!

I then took Harriet and Tom away for their private photo shoot against the stunning scenery surrounding Cote How. They were a great couple to work with!

Choosing a photgrapher is a very important and personal decision. Each photographer has their own style and way of working, and each couple I speak to has their own preferred style too. So please check out lots of options before narrowing down your decision. If possible speak to them or even meet them ahead of making your final decision.

All of these photographers have worked at Cote How as you can see from their work. They are all professional, hard working and artisitc, and have had great reviews from my cients, and are those I would not hesitate to work with again. If you have a photographer in mind but they are not featured here, then it may be that I have not met them yet! ;) Caroline
