Ros and Aidan's Loved Ones Winter ELopement Wedding

Elopement weddings remain a popular choice, but many couples prefer not to elope alone. There are some precious loved ones who simply can’t imagine not being with them on their special day. So we created a new ‘elopement style’ wedding called ‘The Loved Ones.’ With this mini-micro, you can invite up to six additional guests and have your nearest and dearest with you every step of the way!

This is Rosalind and Aidan’s story of a very special winter elopment.

Getting ready in style!

Ros arrived on site before Aidan, so that she didn’t feel rushed, and to enjoy some professional pampering alongside her lovely sister.
Adding the use of our luxurious Getting Ready Room for you and your wedding stylists is a great way to start your wedding day. Enjoy a glass of fizz or a cup of coffee and relax knowing you are in safe hands! Exclusive use of our Lakeland home guarantees peace and tranquility to calm any pre-wedding nerves!

Ros chose beautiful flowers in yellows and blues. They were a gorgeous splash of warmth and colour with Spring still around the corner. Ros loves yellow roses and they were an inspired choice for her winter elopement bouquet.

Ros and Aiden’s ceremony was a beautifully personal wedding service. The Registrars always make couples and their guests feel welcome and at ease. Softly lit with scented candles and elegant decor, Wordsworth has the perfect atmosphere for an intimate winter elopement on a frosty day!

After the ceremony, Ros and Aidan enjoyed a private moment together as a newly married couple. The open fire in Woodrow reception room is always so welcoming and a cosy place to relax after some strenuous confetti throwing. We always love these photos!

Remembering why a winter elopement was the perfect choice

Somewhere over the rainbow...dreams really do come true!

Ros wore an elegant faux fur wrap, perfect for a winter wedding. The gardens at Cote How were beginning to burst into life with a carpet of early snowdrops. A beautiful rainbow was an auspicious sign for this happy couple. The colours on the fellside were gorgeous in the afternoon light.

Ros and Aidan headed off through our paddock to the shores of Rydal Water. This is such a special part of the day for our couples. Taking some time to enjoy the moment in such a stunning landscape creates memories that will last a lifetime.

Our recommended photographers are all amazing! They know the landscape around Cote How so well. Ros and Aidan’s photoshoot shows how natural and relaxed they felt with their photographer Jenna. They had a great time together and it really shows in these fabulous images.

Once back at Cote How, it was time to cut the cake, before tucking into specially prepared vegan platters. All that fresh air works up an appetite! Ros and Aidan chose to upgrade their wedding style to enjoy a delicious homemade lunch as part of their winter elopement wedding.
