A Magical Rustic Barn Wedding in a Lakeland Paradise

A SMALL RUSTIC BARN WEDDING
We had a fantastic Lake District rustic barn wedding in our small exclusive use barn wedding venue last week.
Natasha & Chris booked their August wedding last May with the hope of having a beautiful sunny Lake District barn wedding. The weather did not disappoint, and we were blessed with wall-to-wall sunshine all day. They chose an inside ceremony, which took place in our beautiful Fairfield room filled with twinkling fairy lights and candles. The addition of Natasha’s gorgeously chosen flowers, featuring lots of bright, vivid colours and sunflowers, dressed the room perfectly.
The ceremony was incredibly emotional and young bridesmaid Maddies reading brought a tear to everyone’s eye. Photographer Tiree expertly captured some lovely shots during and after the ceremony as the wedding party relaxed and enjoyed fizz and prosecco in the sunshine on our upper terrace.
Post Ceremony CELEBRATIONS
Following their intimate ceremony, Chris and Natasha enjoyed relaxing with their closet family and friends, taking in the beautiful Cote How gardens and grounds filled with an incredible display of Summer plants and flowers. Tiree captured some lovely photos of the couple and their wedding guests amongst the beautiful backdrop of our Hydrangea garden. Natasha arrived in style, and the couple captured some more lovely moments together in a fabulous vintage VW camper van, supplied by VW Wedding Campers

MAKING THE MOST OF THE superb location and amazing SCENERY
Natasha and Chris headed off to the caves, where they enjoyed some precious first moments together as a married couple. Their photographer, Tiree, captured some beautiful images of the couple enjoying the majestic scenery around them, with views of Rydal valley and our beautiful rustic Lake District wedding barn in the background. When they returned, it was time to have their first look at the barn.
ELEGANTLY STYLED SMALL BARN WEDDING
Our elegantly styled small barn wedding venue was filled with Natasha’s beautiful sunflowers, adorned with candles and dressed in twinkling lights, ready for the happy couple and their guests to enjoy a delicious 2-course wedding breakfast.
Natasha and Chris selected their playlist to accompany their lovely meal, which perfectly matched the excellent mood in our rustic barn. The room was filled with Summery music, laughter and a lot of love!
Best Best Man speech ever...
The couple’s small barn wedding reception finished with an emotional speech from their son Alex. Alex blew us all away with his eloquently spoken words about his mum and dad, and hands down, one of the greatest best man speeches we have ever witnessed, especially seeing as he was only 12 years old! WELL DONE, Alex!

A Magical Day
Thank you so much to Caroline, Steve, and the team for bringing our dream to reality at the beautiful Cote How. We chose the mid-week all-inclusive package which was a perfect intimate wedding of 18 guests in the glorious sunshine on Tuesday 9th August.
Cote How is a very special place and all the staff were very warm, friendly, professional and responsive in communication from start to finish.
All our guests were blown away at how beautiful our wedding was – the location of Cote How is spectacular, and there are so many stunning spots for photographs after the ceremony, such as Rydal Caves. We chose Tiree Dawson for our photography who is phenomenally talented, and it was so lovely to share our special day with her!
