An outdoor summer wedding in
the stunning lake district

Picture perfect - an idyllic outdoor summer wedding in the lakes

How would we describe Chloe and Matthew’s summer Micro? Utterly delightful. Joyous. Simply perfect. Chloe’s blush wedding gown with delicate applique was delightfully whimsical and ethereal. She carried the sweetest posy of dried meadow flowers, whereas  Matthew looked every inch the country squire. A rustic-chic checked suit was a fitting choice for a barn wedding and outdoor ceremony.

Here comes the bride

Their ceremony was incredibly special. Matthew waited with family and friends by our Lakeland barn, whilst Chloe made her entrance with a very proud Dad!  She floated down the aisle to Velvet Moon’s  ‘ Love of My Life’, finally marrying her love under the cherry blossom.

To have and to hold

A hush fell whilst the couple exchanged heartfelt vows, then came joy and laughter as the newly married couple was announced. They sealed their marriage with a kiss to enthusiastic applause, and of course, their smiles said it all!

Meet the New mr & mrs!

Amidst showers of petal confetti, the bride and groom led their guests to the house terrace for a celebratory reception. The sun-dappled fells created the perfect backdrop for an outdoor summer wedding celebration in the heart of the lake district.

A family affair

Whilst the wedding party relaxed in the gardens, our couple set off hand in hand through the meadow with their little girl. There were adventures to be had along the lake shore of Rydal Water and precious new memories to make. Their next chapter as a family was only just beginning!

A table of delights in the rustic wedding barn

All the fresh air and excitement had worked up quite an appetite – and the grazing table was a feast for the senses! There’s something lovely about dining ‘al fresco’ at outdoor weddings. The scent of fresh rosemary mingled with lavender on the barn terrace, as speeches were made and glasses were raised to toast our couple’s future.

the great escape...

Finding time to be in the moment on your wedding day is so important. Leaving their guest to enjoy a cocktail or two, Chloe and Matthew stole away to Rydal Caves. Their stunning wedding portraits capture private moments of celebration. Time stood still, as everything came full circle for a couple who once walked through Rydal dreaming of an outdoor summer wedding. These were memories that would last a lifetime to be sure.
