Meet the team that make your wedding magical

behind the scenes creating our dog-friendly weddings

We are lucky that every day is ‘bring your dog to work day’ at Cote How, as Alfie, the Labradoodle, is never too far away. For many of us, our dog is a hugely important family member. We are often asked if it’s possible to include your dog when you get married. We’ve given this a lot of thought! The most important thing to us is that everyone, including four-legged guests, is happy and relaxed on the big day. We wanted to find a way to make sure any doggy visitors are content and cared for and that you can have the (dog-friendly) wedding day you dream of too.

team work makes the dream work

A little while ago, we got a call from the fabulous Dapper Dog Weddings, asking us if we would like to work together. And that’s how our newest wedding style ‘Paws & Promises’ was born!  What better way to share with you how an experienced and compassionate dog handler makes all the difference to an enjoyable wedding day for everyone, than with a photoshoot of the team … and some VERY extra-special guests!

The fab four

The fantastic team from Dapper Dog Weddings cares for Bonnie, Oscar, Poppy, and Buster through their sister company Ambleside Dog Walkers. Bonny and Oscar have been with them since puppyhood and they share a beautiful friendship.

After their usual romp through the Lakes on their morning walk, the ‘fab four’ joined us at Cote How, to help launch our ‘Paws & Promises’ wedding style, in collaboration with Dapper Dog Weddings.

And they call it...Puppy love

It was a typical summer day in Cumbria –  not too warm with a cool breeze and light rain showers, perfect for dogs!  Tamsin, Nigel, and their team have a special bond with the dogs – and the love is most definitely mutual!

scents and sensibility

The dogs had a great time exploring the paddock at Cote How… so many new scents to sniff out and discover!

Did somebody say cake?

There was time for a delicious dog-friendly, healthy, homemade treat to keep such busy tails wagging until tea time, and of course it was important to stay hydrated with ‘L’eau de Lakes’.

Everyone had a little doggy bag of treats to take home with them, for being such fantastic ‘wedding guests’.

A happy dog means a happy wedding Day

As always, the team from Dapper Dogs did a wonderful job – they know each dog so well and make sure they are happy and relaxed at all times.

We can’t pretend we didn’t love meeting Bonny, Oscar, Buster, and Poppy. But having them makes an important point. As wedding planners and dog handlers, our combined expertise helps us advise you about what works well for both you as the wedding couple AND your dog. Every wedding day plan will be different for every couple and four-legged friend. But we will all be here on your special day to support you in making memories that you will treasure.
