A FAIRYTALE ELOPEMENT WEDDING

IN THE STUNNING LAKE DISTRICT

By SOPHIE DEAN

Stress-free and magical elopement wedding

Here we are, another year has passed and restrictions haven’t changed very much. It’s because of this that having an elopement wedding is becoming a much more popular option. It could be the stress-free option you have been looking for, whilst a wedding with just the two of you can be far more magical than you imagine.

Here's how everything fell into place...

With that said, I’m going to talk to you about Natalie and Hanzel, and their magnificent elopement wedding day here at Cote How. The day took place on the 30th December, just before the tighter restrictions were put into place (which made it feel all the more special – it was meant to be!). Here’s how everything fell into place, from start to finish.

their elopement wedding all started with a virtual tour

First of all, the future husband and wife to be reached out for a virtual tour of Cote How back in August, which they loved so much they booked then and there. That’s only four months from tour to wedding, showing just how quickly an elopement wedding can be planned!

Originally, the couple had planned to wed in Las Vegas, whilst combining a holiday with family and friends. However, the dreaded c-word (that’s covid, by the way) took over and certainly threw a spanner in the works. They decided on a fairy tale getaway in The Lake District alongside their elopement wedding at Cote How.

Relax until the very last minute

After a wonderful night’s sleep in a fantastic hotel perched on the edge of Lake Windermere, the couple spent the morning winding down in the spa before heading to Cote How. The views of the lake are truly magical and a perfect way of making your day that little bit more special – whilst a relaxing spa morning helps to set you up for a truly stress-free day.

The first look...

Upon arrival, Natalie and Hanzel had their first look of each other. This is always a particularly special moment filled with nerves and excitement, a moment that the photographers always capture for the couple.

Opting for Camel Valley Pinot Noir Rosé Brut as their celebratory drink, having a cheeky glass before their elopement wedding ceremony! The couple had chosen songs that were special to them to play at the ceremony, avoiding those songs that get played at countless other weddings – a lovely touch!

capture memories to last a lifetime

After the ceremony, they wandered down to the lake with photographer Simon Hughes to capture some memories. The weather was beautiful on the day despite the crisp winter chill – a typical visitor to winter in The Lakes.

a relaxing and special end to their elopement wedding day

Finally, after such a wonderful day, Natalie and Hanzel made their way back to the hotel before enjoying another trip to the spa and meal in the hotel. This is what’s best about an elopement wedding, it really is your day. There is no one else to worry about, no one else to look after, just the two of you.

So, if the testing times are proving difficult when planning your special day, maybe an amazing Lake District elopement wedding at the lovely Cote How is the perfect option for you.
