The perfect space to prepare for your big day
Preparing for your wedding ceremony in your hotel or accommodation can work well. However, we created our Beauty Suite as part of our desire to offer a completely stress-free and relaxing wedding experience. Getting ready on-site means no worries about Lake District traffic delaying your arrival. Or if you’re planning to stick with tradition, our Beauty Suite is the perfect place to stay hidden in secret before your aisle moment! Our luxurious and relaxing space is exclusively for you and your wedding party and is designed with your wedding preparations in mind.
Caroline's concept
What a transformation! Once known as the Wansfell bedroom, this space was a much-loved guest room when Cote How was a B&B. No longer used by overnight guests, the space needed some creative vision. With a bit of hard work, our luxury suite, inspired by Art Deco and Art Nouveau styling, is a beautifully private space to prepare for your wedding ceremony.
Decorating your space
The Farrow and Ball Gold Lotus wallpaper is a stunning feature of the getting-ready room. Caroline loved this wallpaper so much that the whole room was designed around it – and it looks amazing!
The soft gold, mocha, and taupe colour palette is gentle and luxurious, making the Beauty Suite rich and inviting.
A Stunning Centre Piece
As soon as Caroline found this gorgeous antique gold screen with a blossom tree motif, she had to have it! The Getting Ready Room window looks over the beautiful cherry blossom trees on the grounds, so it was a perfect choice. The screen is a lovely feature and takes pride of place on the wall above the new coffee station.
HAIR AND MAKEUP TIME
With the new space taking shape, we needed practical but beautiful furniture to complement the theme. In true Cote How eco-friendly style, the hairstylist station was created from an upcycled table. Caroline worked her magic with paint and gold finishing. It looks stunning and suits the room perfectly, as does the beautiful glass-topped round table—a great place to sip a glass of fizz and chat.

My bridesmaids loved looking out of the window at all the guests arriving while it came me a chance to settle in a little more and spend more time in a place that means so much to us. Our Beauty Suite is available for your hairstylist, makeup artist, and bridal party (up to 3 guests) so you can relax and prepare for your aisle moment.
