Cote How Wedding Menus

At Cote How, we cater for your special day in-house with a variety of Cote How wedding menus styles to suit your wedding theme; from a la-carte private dining in the beautiful 16th century house, to more informal rustic dishes in the 16th century Lakeland barn.

Karen, our Chef, has a firm reputation for delicious and innovative cuisine using only the best locally sourced quality produce. Karen and Caroline work together closely creating a range of wedding menus to suit Cote How weddings.  All food is carefully and freshly prepared in house by Karen and her team and can include any special diets, if you have them. Karen will also be able to mix and match some items from different menus to suit your needs, or we can develop bespoke wedding menus espcially for you.

Vintage Afternoon Tea

This quintessenially English tradition is a firm favourite on our Cote How wedding menus. Winter and Summer and festive  varieties available!

Presented on an ecclectic mix of vintage China crockery, with mixed triple cake stands, cake plates and teacups and saucers. A delightful table setting to graces anyone’s table – Note we plate with two people sharing a triple tiered stand.
Includes tea or coffee

Chicken Rotisserie Buffet

This is a great rustic self-served style buffet with a BBQ theme and includes a light dessert too! 

This style of dining is perfect for more informal wedding menus and does not require a table plan. Each guest will approach the buffet in the gazebo next to the barn. Here you will have staff assist by serving to your plate. You can then choose to sit in the barn or outside in the bar ncourtyard.
In the summer months this is a wonderful option as guests can eat while enjoyng the stunning Lakeland fells.

A more formal style – But not too formal! 
Here we will serve to the table and you and your guests can sit back and relax.
Choose from a variety of starters, mains and desserts.

This is an informal buffet option and can be made up form individual selections from the menus chioces.
Available anytime of year but remember the house is a max of 24

Private Dining

This is an indulgent treat for the foodie in you, and is available for smaller more intimate weddings of up to 12

Each guest has a choice for their own individual courses, allowing for full flexibility and freedom of choice. We print a personal menu for each guest which makes a beautiful keepsake. This is available in the house Woodrow Room for small intimate groups of up to 12 people

Private Fine Dining wedding Breakfast

Evening Supper Buffet

The supper option is avaialble with our weekend wedding packages only and is served around 8pm, to keep you going through the evening reception.
This is a really important option to offer your guests, as some eat more than others, and without a supper there will be no morefood available behind the bar shoudl any of your guests get packish later. It iss also a good idea to keep people’s tummies full, especially as all day drinking may be challenging for some!

This is self-served from the barn gazebo or the 

£9.95 per person –  Cheese & Biscuit platters
£10.00 per person – Cumberland Sausage on soft white rolls
£12.50 per person –  Hot Baguettes


Wedding Cake of Cheeses

A fabulous and stunning display of cheese in the shape of a wedding cake. Cut it as your cake then serve it as your evening supper. Choose each layer to personalise your favourites (weights are approximate):
Bottom layer
Mature Cheddar or Red Leicester
Second Layer
Half wheel of smoked Applewood
plus a half wheel of either Wenslydale with Cranberry, Mango and Apricot or Blue Berry
Third layer
Lancashire Blue or Stilton
Top layer 
Small Brie or Camembert

Prices vary depending on numbers from £8.95 – £12.95 per person

Add a selection of Cumberland Meats: Scotch Eggs, Ham, Pork Pies – £5.00 per person
OR Pate £2.50 per person
