Hi, I’m Caroline, a former wedding dress designer, now co-owner and Wedding planner here at Cote How Lake District Weddings. I help lake-loving couples create relaxed and understated intimate weddings with a hint of indulgent luxury. Together we design your wedding to be a unique reflection of you, with all your quirks, creating unforgettable life-long memories along the way!

Every wedding is different, and I’m passionate about creating the very best for you and your guests. Small weddings are perfect for getting to know each other, and I love getting to know you, your friends and family! Hospitality is in my genes, I love helping people and making them feel welcome, and I can’t help but give them my all!

My Journey to Cote How…
I have a varied background; a blend of creative, logic and corporate all rolled into one, and I guess this wealth of experience has helped mould me into who I am today.
Each and everything I have done has been a great pleasure and taught me lots of skills along the way!
EARLY YEARS
I left school and trained in Fashion Design and Textiles, then working full time in the clothing industry whilst continuing my studies gaining a Diploma in Management Studies, a Business Management qualification, at Derby University.
THE ENTREPRENEUR IN ME
A few years later I decided to branch into self-employment and opened my bridal boutique creating bespoke, made to measure bridal-wear. Showcasing at major exhibitions including the National Wedding Shows at the NEC, I met brides from all over the UK, who travelled to benefit from my bespoke service.
HOSPITALITY
After relocating to Cote How in 2006 I developed the existing bed and breakfast business to a world-renowned Organic Guest House and Tearoom gaining the coveted 5-star Green Tourism Award and the Soil Association organic license for both the tearoom and guest house, which was featured in several publications; Lonely Plant and Green Traveller. Sustainability and great food are still very high on the agenda as we strive to be as ethical and environmentally responsible as we can.

In 2013 I realised my ultimate dream when Cote How gained it’s first wedding license and began evolving into one of the Lake District’s most exclusive small wedding venues.
Cote How occupies a natural gem of a location right in the heart of the English Lake District and oozes Lakeland charm.
Cote How is as far from corporate as it is possible, and staying true to it’s Lakeland heritage we focus on attention to detail and sublime customer service, creating perfect weddings, in a relaxed and friendly environment.
