Elopement wedding packages for just the two of you – Perfect for couples wishing to tie the knot in a simple but romantic way, in a special place, and sometimes done in secret! With couples travelling to the Lake District from over the UK and abroad, including your elopement wedding within a planned holiday is often the easiest way to keep that secret! A true elopement wedding is usually arranged with just a few months to go, bringing out the spontaneity in you!
Our elopement wedding couples have often been together the longest (25 years is not uncommon), and tend to be those wishing to “marry” rather than have a big “wedding”.
All of our Elopement weddings are totally relaxed and intimate, with a classic legal ceremony in a beautiful destination (indoors or out), with fully exclusive use, guaranteeing total privacy for that extra romantic feel.

Recent trends towards eloping in remote and wild places has seen a shift in demand for these adventurous style elopements. To be legally married in England you still require a licensed venue, and Cote How offers you both a stunning venue set in the heart of a world heritage location – The English Lake District – with amazing views from every angle. We also have a choice of licensed ceremony spaces, to reflect your personality and style.

This is our statement two-hour morning elopement package… not necessarily for those who want to run away, but perfect for couples who are wanting an intimate and easy stress-free wedding!
Our 2-hour morning Runaways wedding is perfect for those who want a simple, relaxed, and romantic wedding in a special place. Your ceremony will take place mid-morning, leaving plenty of time for you to go off and enjoy the rest of your special day.

Our Adventure Elopement package is perfect for those wanting to get married but with an element of adventure involved. This package has been designed to ensure you have plenty of time to head off on a hike to Rydal Water and Rydal Caves for some fantastic photo oppurtunities
This 3-hour afternoon package is perfect for fun-loving adventurous couples who want to explore the local area with their photographer following an intimate relaxed ceremony.

'Festive Elopement'
All of our elopements are available as festive weddings.
The house will be fully decorated with festive treats from the 1st of December through to the 6th of January.
This includes our splendid Christmas tree in the Woodrow reception Room, plenty of wonderful greenery, natural garlands and fairy lights throughout the house.
Options for drinks also include Mulled wine, winter Pimms and hot chocolate to get you into the festive spirit.

Wow! Where do I start? Our day was just how we imagined it would be, and more, thanks to you guys. We wanted a calm, quiet, intimate wedding personalised just to suit us and that’s what we got from start to finish. We felt welcomed, at home and joyful during our stay at Cote How.
