At Cote How, we are able to cater for your special day in whichever style you choose; from a la carte private dining in the beautiful 16th century house, to more informal rustic dishes in the rustic Lakeland barn.

Karen, our Executive Chef, left behind a successful career in finance, to fulfil her love of making people happy through her food. She has a firm reputation for delicious and innovative cuisine using only the best locally sourced quality produce. Karen and Caroline work together to create a range of wedding menus to suit the wedding styles offered here at Cote How. 

Choose from informal buffets, Afternoon Teas, evening suppers to formal meals served to oyur table. All food is carefully and freshly prepared to ensure that all of your dishes are tasty and enjoyable, leaving you and your guests with wonderful memories. Karen excels in providing for any special diets, so if you or your guests have any specific requests, we will be able to cater for them.

This is an option for the house only in small intimate groups of up to 12 people
Each guest can pre-select their own options from the menu and the food is freshly prepared by our own in-house chef on the day

INFORMAL FORK BUFFET

This is a slection of hot and cold food items Self-Served in the house up to 32 people across all three reception rooms
Self-Served in the Barn from the Garden Gazebo for up to 60 people
from £20 per person - Additional items at £5 per head per item

 


INFORMAL WEDDING BREAKFAST OPTIONS

Hor Roast

HOG ROAST BUFFET MENU  - £29.00 per person
Staff assisted and served to your plate in the barn from the Garden Gazebo for 60 people (please note a minimum requirement for 60 people)

 

CHICKEN ROTISSERIE BUFFET - £32.00 per person
Staff assisted and served to your plate in the barn from the Garden Gazebo for 40-60 people

 

CURRY BUFFET - £29.00 per person
A selection of meat and veggie curries with fragrant rice, naan and popadums

FEASTING MENUS and SHARING PLATTERS
The concept is that each table has a nominated meat carver / server who is issued a chef hat! (we will carve the top table) 
Adds and enjoyable and fun element to family feasting style


EVENING INTERVAL SUPPER OPTIONS

Cheese CakeWEDDING CAKE OF CHEESES
Layers of cheese rounds stacked into tiered cakes and combined with Cumbrian Teabread, decorated to compliment your theme with flowers and fruit. Displayed as your wedding cake then presented on cheese boards and self served as evening supper with breads, cheese biscuits, fruit and chutneys, from the Garden Gazebo from 8:30pm

Smaller Cake - (serves 30 – 50)
Larger Cake - (Serves 50-60) 

£14.95 per person
Both buffets can be extend into a full Cumberland platter with the addition of cold meats, pork pies, pate, and dessert bites +£6 per head
