Eloping With Your Kids...The Perfect Family Wedding
It's a family affair! Our real wedding family elopement diary
If you ever have any worries about a family elopement, and whether eloping with kids is a good idea, Holly & Andrew’s wonderful family elopement will allay all your fears!
Peek into our ‘real wedding diary’ from April 2024 and share the joy!

A real cumbrian welcome in the lakes
The weather in the Lake District is legendary, and it did not disappoint on Holly & Andrew’s big day! In true Cumbrian style, it was more than a little wild outside, and it was a relief to come into the warmth of a real fire in our cosy drawing room.

vintage-inspired timeless elegance
Holly was the most beautiful bride and proof that a family elopement may be simple and relaxed but there’s no need to compromise on style!
Holly wore a blush, beaded floor-length gown with timeless vintage-inspired jewellery, accessorized with a ribbon-tie belt and satin shoes. Her bouquet was the prettiest mix of summer garden silk and dried flowers.
head, shoulders, knees and toes...
We had such fun singing songs, sharing stories, and playing games before the ceremony. Little ones at weddings are all about the continuation of love and the beginning of a new chapter for families on their journey together.
There was also a touching moment when we surprised our couple with a thoughtful gift, organised in secret with special friends only days before the wedding!

The perfect bridal party
Holly & Andrew’s daughter was the perfect flower girl and walked Mummy down the aisle beautifully in her ivory, chiffon dress.
After the ceremony and an intimate celebration, we braved the weather for confetti throwing on the terrace. Our friendly robin came to say hello to the delight of the children.

Little explorers on a family elopement adventure
As Andrew proposed to Holly in a beautiful bluebell wood with the children, it was only fitting that their wedding day was a family adventure!
They all headed off down to the lake with Steve (with emergency biscuits to keep little ones going!) and despite the shocking weather, they had a fabulous photo shoot.

Making memories - the start of a new chapter
The smiles say it all! There were certainly some very special memories and love and laughter are the perfect ingredients for eloping with children.
All too soon it was time to say goodbye… and we doubt it was long before there were two very sleepy children in the car!

Holly & Andrew's reflections on their family elopement
‘We would also like to take the time to thank you all for everything. We are so happy with how everything went and really, pleased we found Cote How. It was the perfect venue for us. We felt it was all so relaxed, and fun. Rachel was also so amazing with the kids and it was so kind of her to play and keep them so busy and distracted, they both really enjoyed it. Such a beautiful place. Steve has captured some great natural shots and we love the style…’
Thank you to the lovely Holly & Andrew for allowing us to share their Real Wedding Diary.
