Martin and Gail Elope to the Lake District

After 14 years together and five years engaged, Gail and Martin decided to marry here at Cote How... in secret! Following a definite shift in trends towards elopement weddings we decided to design a dedicated intimate ceremony room where couples would feel comfortable and relaxed in a cosy friendly space designed for just two weddings. The Wordsworth Ceremony Room was opened in July 2018 and Gail and Martin were the first couple to marry here with Steve and I as their witnesses.               We all enjoyed a beautifully relaxed wedding ceremony conducted by the ever humorous Mr Sean Onions with handcrafted marriage certificates scribed beautifully by Sue Bramwell from Kendal Registry office.                   The ceremony was light hearted and fun, with big dollops of love and affection. Skilfully captured on camera by the very talented Lorraine Oates, who took the happy couple down to the lake edge of Rydal Water for their stunning personal shots featuring our beautiful and romantic landscape with amazing dramatic skies, highlighted by fleeting pockets of sunshine rays illuminating the ever-changing canvas behind.               Showcase Real Martin and Gail's Elope Wedding for TWO at Cote How    Take a peek at Lorraine's work here in this video album (opens in new window in You tube)
