Real Weddings at Cote How
With limitless energy and creativity, you can count on us to ensure that your special day is realised, whatever your inspiration. We specialise in small intimate weddings that include fully exclusive use of our 16th century venue in it's entirety, including our four acres of grounds, with an adjacent field down to the lake shore of Rydal Water, the bluebell woods and the River Rothay. A picturesque wooden footbridge leads to Rydal church 200m away. There are very few establishments with a more perfect setting for wedding photographs.

The Fairfield Ceremony Room

The house has a light and sunny ceremony room brightly adorned with gilt miroors and crystal chandeliers. Two large windows showcase the beautiful lakeland scenery outside and double doors lead onto the garden terrace and croquet lawn. The Fairfield room is used for a variety of different uses; for your ceremony, we can accommodate up to 50 people in a variety of different layouts to suit your weding style.
We can also use this room for photographs, drinks receptions, afternon teas and formal meals.

The Barn Wedding

The 16th century barn oozes rustic charm; measuring approx 10m x 5.5m it has a traditional 'A' framed roof with wonderful exposed beams and rafters; it is fully licensed for alcohol and live music and has two toilets in the rear courtyard.
Here, we serve our hog roasts, formal wedding breakfasts, wedding receptions and parties. The cottage garden behind the barn can also house our hog roast, should you want tot get married in the barn with your congregation outside.

Our Wonderful Wedding Food

At Cote How, we are able to cater for your special day in whichever style you choose; from a la carte fine dining in the beautiful 16th century house, to more informal rustic dishes in the newly renovated barn.
